STATE EDUCATION R&D BRIEF
Building on recommendations from the State and Local R&D Infrastructure Task Force, Education Reimagined and Transcend, in partnership with the Alliance for Learning Innovation (ALI), gathered diverse perspectives across the education sector about the barriers to and opportunities for R&D investment and infrastructure at the state level.

The resulting brief, Seizing the Opportunity for State Education R&D: Findings and Recommendations for Action, reflects 60 combined interviews and survey responses from education stakeholders representing 15 states and diverse political contexts. The brief synthesizes key themes from the research and details eight actionable recommendations for state leaders across two mechanisms: the conditions to incentivize and foster innovation and the infrastructure to support, evaluate, embed, and sustain it.
